PMI currently offers eight (8) credentials for qualified professionals.  These credentials represent a variety of discipline and experience across the career framework associated with the profession of project management.

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®)

The CAPM certification recognizes a demonstrated understanding of the fundamental knowledge, processes and terminology as defined in the PMBOK® Guide needed for effective project management performance.

Project Management Professional (PMP®)

The PMP certification recognizes competence of an individual to perform in the role of a project manager, specifically experience in leading and directing projects.

Program Management Professional (PgMPSM)

The PgMP certification recognizes demonstrated experience, skill and performance in the oversight of multiple, related projects that are aligned with organizational objectives.

Portfolio Management Professional (PfMPSM)

PMI’s Portfolio Management Professional credential recognizes the advanced experience and skill of portfolio managers. The PfMP demonstrates your proven ability in the coordinated management of one or more portfolios to achieve organizational objectives.

PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACPSM)

The PMI-ACP certification validates a practitioner’s ability to understand and apply agile principles and practices on basic projects. The PMI-ACP requires a combination of agile training, experience working on agile projects and examination on agile practices of project management.

PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBASM)

The PMI-PBA highlights your expertise in business analysis. It spotlights your ability to work effectively with stakeholders to define their business requirements, shape the output of projects and drive successful business outcomes.

PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMPSM)
